A1:8
HIGH SCHOOL MINISTRY
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, throughout Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” – Acts 1:8
A1:8—NAVIGATING YOUR FAITH JOURNEY
High School Ministry is designed for 9th–12th graders ready to take the next step in their faith journey. Students dive deeper into discipleship, leadership, and living out their faith in real-world ways. Weekly gatherings, retreats, service projects, and small groups help teens strengthen their relationship with Christ, grow in community, and prepare to live as witnesses “to the ends of the earth.”
Small Groups & Leadership: Older teens are encouraged to take on leadership roles within small groups and ministry activities, mentoring younger students and building a culture of faith, service, and accountability.
Prayer & Worship: Students experience opportunities for Adoration, retreats, and personal prayer—deepening their connection with God and discerning His calling in their lives.
Tuesday Nights, 7:15-9:30pm
About Our Core Team
Our Core Team is a group of adults dedicated to sharing God’s love with our high schoolers. It is an incredibly life-giving ministry for both the core team and the teens. As a team, we grow together in community, prayer, and sacrifice. We have a lot of fun, but also aim to expand our comfort zones as we spend time with high schoolers.
Our pillars are radical hospitality, hearing and responding to the voice of the Lord, creating a culture of honor, and equipping all to live a life of mission. Christ the King is a charismatic parish, so our youth group seeks to put the gifts of the Holy Spirit into practice regularly.
The Core Team leads weekly prayer meetings and social time on Tuesday nights. We also help lead small groups (biweekly) and Adoration (biweekly).
