EUCHARISTIC ADORATION
“Nowhere on earth are we more welcomed or loved than by Jesus in Eucharist.”
—St. Teresa of Calcutta
THE CHRIST THE KING ADORATION CHAPEL IS OPEN 24/7
Spend quiet, prayerful time with our Eucharistic Lord. You may drop in at any time or sign up for a weekly commitment or a one-time visit to fill an open hour. Pick an hour from the open slots on the chart that fits your schedule—every moment helps ensure Jesus is never alone in the chapel.
Is a weekly time commitment required?
No. You can choose a one-time visit, a recurring weekly hour, or something in between—whatever helps you spend time with the Lord in a way that fits your life right now.
Can I just stop by the chapel without signing up?
Yes, you’re always welcome to come and pray at any time the chapel is open. Committed adorers simply ensure that Jesus is never left alone and enable us to have the chapel open 24 hours a day, but everyone is invited to spend time with Him whenever they can.
Can I be a committed adorer if I’m not a Christ the King parishioner?
Absolutely! Everyone is welcome to pray in our chapel, and we encourage you to join as a committed adorer if you feel called.
What if I want to commit but I’m not sure I can do it every week?
That’s perfectly fine. You can start with a one-time commitment anytime by logging into the website and choosing any open hour. You can also commit to monthly or bi-weekly if your schedule allows!
You might also consider a group commitment. If you’re part of a ministry or small group, your team can share a weekly hour—so a group of five could cover one hour each week, with each person taking a turn every five weeks. If you need help setting this up in our system, we’re happy to assist!
What if I am a committed adorer and I can’t make it?
That’s no problem. We Adore Him, our Adoration scheduling software, makes it simple to request a substitute whenever you need one. In addition, we try to have two committed adorers for each hour, so you’ll have an adoration partner you can reach out to if something comes up. If your partner can be there, you’re all set!
What about safety and security during overnight hours?
The Adoration Chapel is securely locked during the overnight hours, and a passcode is required for entry. SImply call the office during business hours for the code (734-665-5040). There is also a phone on the wall that can be used in case of an emergency, so you can feel safe while spending time in prayer.
Can I bring my children to Adoration?
Absolutely! At Christ the King, we encourage Eucharistic families. You are welcome to bring your children, even if they have a hard time sitting quietly. For small children, starting with shorter visits can be helpful. All adorers should know that families are welcome in the chapel, so occasional little noises are part of our community. If you prefer a very quiet hour, consider visiting in the evening or overnight when children are likely asleep.
Throughout the school year, we have monthly Family Holy Hours in the Worship Space and children of all ages are warmly welcome.
How do I become a committed adorer?
You can sign up right here on this page using the button to choose your hour. A tutorial video is available if you’d like a walkthrough of the system.
You can also sign up on the computer located outside the Adoration Chapel, or contact adoration@ctkcc.net and a member of the Adoration Coordinating Team will get in touch with you.
