“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” — Proverbs 22:6 (RSVCE)
Childhood is a crucial time when we seek to set the hearts, minds, and souls of our children on the joyful path that leads to knowing, loving and serving God in this life and being happy with Him forever in Heaven. In addition to our Religious Education program and the activities that we have for families, here are a few of the other opportunities that we and other local groups offer for our youth to come to know, love and serve the Lord:
Fuel Middle School Prayer Meetings
Fuel Middle School Prayer Meetings are on the second and fourth Mondays of the month for middle schoolers (grades 6-8). They meet from 7:30 – 8:30 p.m. in the church, but everyone is encouraged to arrive by 7:15 to spend time getting to know each other beforehand. If you have questions or need more information, please contact Youth Minister John Hoving at email@example.com or 734-929-0977.
Knights of Columbus Squires
The Christ the King Knights of Columbus Council #13360 hosts a local circle of the Columbian Squires. The Squires are for young men ages 10-18. For more information, go to the CTK Knights of Columbus Web page.
Girls of Grace
Girls of Grace is a sharing group for 4th-6th Graders that meets once or twice a month, usually on Saturdays.
Pine Hills Camp
Each summer a number of our students who are entering 7th-9th grades spend a week at the Pine Hills Camps sponsored by the Word of God Community. These camps combine all the fun and activities of a traditional summer camp with a dynamic encounter with God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. For more information, go to the Pine Hills Camp Web page.
