Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (Atrium)

This is a Montessori-based program of religious education for 3-5 year olds and 6-9 year olds. The method was begun by Sofia Cavaletti about 60 years ago, and is called the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. The word “Atrium” refers to a space where children are prepared to enter into the liturgy and the life of the Church. The catechist focuses on helping children listen to God and His Word and respond with joy. To learn more about the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, visit www.cgsusa.org.

There are various time slots each week to allow parents a chance to pick a day of the week that works well for their schedule. Classes are held in Rooms 1 and 2 of the Parish Center. You must register your child in order to participate in Atrium and there is a fee to cover the cost of materials. Scholarships may be available. Contact Emily Allis for more immediate information.
